Town of Geneva, WI - Zoning permits
Zoning permits may be required for any construction, addition or alteration of any structure, including but not limited to sheds, carports, decks, patios, porches, dormers, roof alterations, new or replacement retaining walls, signs, entrance pillars and gates, stairs and landings, and vegetation removal or grading. A structure is defined as anything constructed or erected. Please contact your local zoning administrator with any questions or to determine if a zoning permit is required for your project.

Extraterritorial Zoning (ETZ) with Village of Williams Bay
If you live within one and a half miles from the Village of Williams Bay, you may be required to apply for your Zoning Permit at the Village in lieu of Walworth County. You can verify your ETZ status by contacting Walworth County. Use this link to find the necessary forms from the Village.
